Horns work differently depending on the age of your Hummer H2, but the basic principle is similar. The steering wheel has a horn button connected to a special relay circuit. Pushing this button closes the circuit and sends current to the horn relay, which directs electricity from the battery to the horn. Horn problems are usually caused by the steering wheel button or a burnt-out horn relay.
